The Page is Up on Google!

It's been a long time ever since I posted on this little blog, yes. I actually had to wait to see if my blog will ever show up on Google Searches, and now here it is.

Why did I even wait for three months (I think) to post a new entry here?

Well, Wix.com says that it usually takes Google sitemaps to sort out new websites about three months to get a register a new page into their search entries.

I was unsure whether I was supposed to buy a custom domain from Wix.com to boost the appearance of my website's sitemap priority to get into Google Searches, so I waited for a while. And yes, this took three months, if you're going to base this from my first blog post entry.

Now what does this mean for new Wix.com users?

Nothing much, really. Unless you're already satisfied of the features that Wix.com's free features and don't mind earning nothing from the website via custom ads from independent websites, I do suggest that you buy your own domain and get a premium subscription.

This does not apply if you're a person who can circumvent the system and use PayPal donations as an option to create income by using blog posts and asking them to press the little button to give you money to keep your site up and running to keep your content consistent. The same could apply to Ko-Fi, BuyMeaCoffee, Patreon, and other related services.

As for me, I am doing this as a sort of hobby that also involves trying to gain new skill sets in order for me to become a better writer. This is because new writers of our recent generation now have two or more specializations that are related to each other so that they can create their works and reach their audiences better.

I also recommend dabbling with SEO as much as you can if you are an online writer as this will greatly help you boost your reach towards your intended audience and interact with them, of course. That's why even blog websites such as mine have SEO settings such as this one.

You can do whatever you want with this knowledge, I suppose, but do mind the only piece of advice that I can give you right now as a writer: versatility is key to survival.
